Quick answer: Kit pricing, still searched as ConvertKit pricing, comes down to three plans in September 2026. The Free plan is $0 for up to 10,000 subscribers and includes unlimited landing pages, forms and broadcasts, but no automations, no email sequences and one user. Creator is $33 a month billed yearly ($390) for 1,000 subscribers and adds unlimited Visual Automations and sequences, the Kit MCP, SMS, integrations and the ability to remove Kit branding. Pro is $66 a month billed yearly ($790) for 1,000 subscribers and adds Subscriber Signals, engagement analytics, unlimited users, deliverability reporting and a free SparkLoop referral plan. Prices rise with subscriber count, yearly billing saves 17 percent, and the 14 day trial needs no card. We read the live pricing page on September 5, 2026; here is what each line actually gates.

The three plans at 1,000 subscribers

  • Free, $0. Up to 10,000 subscribers. Unlimited landing pages, opt in forms and broadcasts, a newsletter feed and website, customizable domain, unlimited traffic, opt in incentive delivery, list growth reporting, free Recommendations, tagging and segmentation, 1 user, resend to unopened, A/B test 2 subject lines, sell digital products, run paid newsletters and subscriptions, tip jars, content snippets, API access, Kit University and email support. Kit branding stays on.
  • Creator, $33 a month billed yearly. Everything in Free plus unlimited Visual Automations and automated email sequences, the automation template library, Kit MCP, RSS campaigns, 100 plus direct apps and integrations, SMS marketing, polls, remove Kit branding, email editor version history, scheduling in the subscriber's time zone, Smart Recommendations, Paid Recommendations, newsletter sponsorships, abandoned checkout recovery, 2 users, free migration, and 24/7 email and chat support.
  • Pro, $66 a month billed yearly. Everything in Creator plus Subscriber Signals, engagement analytics, subscriber engagement scoring, the insights dashboard, deliverability reporting, custom tracking domain, collaborative editing, edit links in sent broadcasts, advanced A/B testing on up to 5 subject lines or content, Facebook custom audiences, a free SparkLoop referral plan that Kit values at $99 a month, unlimited users, and 24/7 priority support.

Kit's page states the yearly discount as 17 percent and shows the yearly totals of $390 and $780 rounded to $790 on the card; by Kit's own percentage, month to month billing works out to roughly $39 for Creator and $79 for Pro at 1,000 subscribers. Every paid price scales with a subscriber slider that runs to 500,000 plus, so a 5,000 subscriber list pays more than the figures above.

What the Free plan is really for

Ten thousand free subscribers is the largest free ceiling among the major email tools; Mailchimp's free plan stops at 250 contacts and beehiiv's at 2,500. The catch is in the automation rows of the comparison table, where the Free column shows a dash next to the visual automation builder, automated email sequences, RSS campaigns, the app integrations and Kit MCP. In practice that means you can collect 10,000 subscribers and broadcast to them for nothing, but you cannot run a welcome sequence, a launch sequence or a behaviour triggered flow until you pay. For a newsletter that is a real option. For a creator business selling products, it is a very long trial.

The fees that are not on the plan cards

  • Commerce transactions: 3.5 percent plus 30 cents on digital products and subscriptions, on every plan, inclusive of card processing. Kit says its own share of that is 0.6 percent.
  • Paid Recommendations: Kit keeps 23.5 percent of what you earn promoting other creators, on Creator and Pro.
  • Newsletter sponsorships: available from Creator; the page does not publish the revenue split, so ask before you plan on it.
  • Subscriber counting: Kit says subscribers are counted only if unique and active, which is a favourable rule compared with tools that bill for unsubscribed contacts.

Trial, migration and support terms

The trial is 14 days on Creator or Pro with no credit card required and cancellation any time. Free migrations from another platform are included on Creator and Pro, done by an in house team that rebuilds forms, templates and automations; the Free plan does not get this. Support steps up by tier: email only on Free, 24/7 email and chat on Creator, 24/7 priority on Pro, with a Kit AI assistant handling first response. If deliverability matters to your business, and it does for anyone selling by email, note that deliverability reporting and a custom tracking domain are Pro only. That is the same authentication and reputation discipline we apply in email infrastructure work for outbound clients.

Is Pro worth double Creator?

Pro's case rests on four things: Subscriber Signals, which enriches each subscriber with job title, social reach and purchase data so you know who your most valuable readers are; deliverability reporting, which shows which inbox providers or segments are underperforming; unlimited users; and the SparkLoop referral plan, which on its own Kit prices at $99 a month. If you run sponsorships or sell to your list, the first two pay for the upgrade quickly. If you are a solo newsletter writer with one login and no sponsors, Creator already contains everything you will use.

Which plan for which creator

  • Starting a newsletter with no products: Free. Ten thousand subscribers of runway and unlimited broadcasts. Upgrade when you write your first welcome sequence.
  • Selling a course, coaching or a paid newsletter: Creator. Automations, sequences, integrations and branding removal are the features that sell.
  • Running sponsorships or a team: Pro, for Signals, deliverability reporting, unlimited users and the referral system.
  • A B2B company doing cold outreach: none of them. Kit is a permission based platform for audiences that opted in; cold email needs separate sending infrastructure and warmup, which is what our cold email service runs.

Priced at 1,000 subscribers, Kit's Creator plan costs about the same per month as a mid tier Mailchimp plan and includes unlimited sends and automations that Mailchimp meters; we compare them in Kit vs Mailchimp, and the newsletter first alternative in Kit vs beehiiv.

Annual versus monthly, and what the yearly totals hide

Kit quotes the yearly price as a monthly figure. Creator's $33 a month is $390 billed once a year, and Pro's $66 is billed at $790, which is $65.83 a month rounded up on the card. Kit's own claim is that yearly saves 17 percent, which by our arithmetic puts month to month billing near $39 for Creator and $79 for Pro at 1,000 subscribers, and Kit's card states the yearly saving as $78 and $158 respectively. The number the card does not show is the subscriber step: every paid price rises as the slider moves, so a creator at 5,000 subscribers should price from the slider, not from this page. What does not change with list size is the Free plan, which stays at $0 all the way to 10,000.

The comparison table rows that decide an upgrade

  • Users: 1 on Free, 2 on Creator, unlimited on Pro. A creator with a virtual assistant is a Creator customer; a team is a Pro customer.
  • A/B testing: 2 subject lines on Free and Creator, 5 subject lines or content on Pro.
  • Automation: the visual builder, sequences, RSS campaigns, the app store and Kit MCP all start at Creator.
  • Support: email on Free, 24/7 email and chat on Creator, priority on Pro, with a Kit AI assistant answering most questions first on every tier.
  • Migration: free on Creator and Pro, not offered on Free.

Kit rebranded from ConvertKit in 2024, so older guides quote plan names and prices that no longer exist; the three plans above are the only ones on the page today.

Frequently Asked Questions

As of September 5, 2026, Kit is free for up to 10,000 subscribers, Creator is $33 a month billed yearly ($390) for 1,000 subscribers, and Pro is $66 a month billed yearly ($790) for 1,000 subscribers. Yearly billing saves 17 percent, so monthly billing is roughly $39 and $79 at that list size. Prices rise as your subscriber count grows.

Yes. The Free plan allows up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited landing pages, forms and broadcasts and no cost. It excludes the visual automation builder, automated email sequences, RSS campaigns, integrations, the Kit MCP and branding removal, and it has one user and email only support.

Creator adds automations, sequences, integrations, SMS, branding removal and 2 users to the Free plan. Pro adds Subscriber Signals, engagement analytics and scoring, deliverability reporting, a custom tracking domain, collaborative editing, A/B testing on up to 5 subject lines or content, Facebook custom audiences, a free SparkLoop referral plan, unlimited users and priority support.

Kit charges 3.5 percent plus 30 cents per transaction on digital products and subscriptions on every plan, which it says includes card processing with 0.6 percent as Kit's own fee. On Paid Recommendations, Kit keeps 23.5 percent of earnings. Newsletter sponsorship terms are not published on the pricing page.

Yes. Creator and Pro come with a 14 day free trial that does not require a credit card, and both paid plans include a free migration by Kit's in house team, which rebuilds forms, templates and automations from your previous platform. The Free plan does not include migration.

No. Kit is built for subscribers who opted in, and its deliverability depends on that. Cold outreach to people who have not subscribed requires dedicated sending domains, warmup and a sequencing tool, and using a newsletter platform for it risks the account and the domain.
