GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels: the short answer
Quick verdict: ClickFunnels sells you a funnel, a checkout and an audience you own. GoHighLevel sells you a place to run other people's businesses. They now cost the same money at two of the three price points, so the question is not which is cheaper. It is which meter you want to be on.
The fact that settles most of these comparisons: GoHighLevel meters how many clients you have. ClickFunnels meters how many contacts you have. GoHighLevel gives unlimited contacts and unlimited users on every plan including the $97 one, and charges for sub-accounts and usage. ClickFunnels gives unlimited funnels, pages and visitors on every plan, and charges you when your list grows past 10,000, 75,000, 150,000 or 400,000 names. Both sets of numbers come from the vendors' own pricing pages, read on 1 September 2026.
The prices collide, the meters do not
Put the two published price lists side by side and something odd happens. They share numbers.
- $97 per month, $970 per year. GoHighLevel Starter and ClickFunnels Launch. Identical.
- $297 per month, $2,970 per year. GoHighLevel Unlimited and ClickFunnels Optimize. Identical.
- The same annual mechanic. Every annual price on both sites is exactly ten times the monthly price, so committing annually buys two free months at either vendor.
What that money buys is not comparable at all. At $97, ClickFunnels Launch gives you 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails a month, 2 team members, 1 workspace and 3 courses, and its own feature table shows no Automations, no Calendars, no Appointments, no API and a single CRM pipeline. At the same $97, GoHighLevel Starter gives unlimited contacts, unlimited users, 3 sub-accounts and the full core feature set including workflow automation and booking calendars, with email, SMS, calling and AI billed as usage on top.
So the honest trade at the entry tier: ClickFunnels includes your email volume and withholds your automations. GoHighLevel includes your automations and meters your email. Neither is a trick. They are two different bets about which resource you run out of first. Our GoHighLevel pricing breakdown works through what that usage side really costs at volume.
What ClickFunnels never put on its pricing page
Here is the finding that changes this comparison, and almost nothing written about ClickFunnels has caught up with it.
ClickFunnels shipped an Agency App. Its help centre article is dated Published 23 January 2026, Updated 26 January 2026. It says the Agency App creates dedicated workspaces for clients, invites them automatically with the right access, and manages permissions without sharing your main workspace. Under Requirements it lists Subscription: Agency Plan, Client Workspaces: up to 50 with archived workspaces excluded from the limit, Team Administrator access, and unlimited funnels and domains for the agency owner's own workspace plus API access.
There is no Agency Plan on clickfunnels.com/pricing. That page lists four plans: Launch, Scale, Optimize and Dominate. The partners page lists three tracks: affiliate, app integration and strategic partner. Eight months after the feature shipped, the plan it requires has no published price anywhere on the vendor's own site that we could find.
So the familiar line that ClickFunnels has no client model is now out of date, and any comparison still repeating it, including GoHighLevel's own, is describing 2025. But you also cannot budget for it. You can price a GoHighLevel agency stack to the dollar today and you have to book a call to price ClickFunnels. The Agency App also tops out at 50 client workspaces, where GoHighLevel's $297 plan has no sub-account ceiling at all.

What GoHighLevel's own comparison page gets wrong
We earn a commission when someone signs up to GoHighLevel through this page, so it would be convenient to skip this part.
GoHighLevel publishes its own ClickFunnels comparison page. Its browser title reads Compared for 2025, and it carries a bullet block headed "Say Goodbye to Tiered Pricing Games" promising "unlimited funnels, contacts and sub-accounts from day one" alongside "Start at $97/month" and "Flat-rate pricing without subscriber caps".
GoHighLevel's own pricing page contradicts that. The $97 Starter plan includes 3 sub-accounts, not unlimited. Unlimited sub-accounts begin at $297. The claim holds for contacts and users, which genuinely are unlimited from day one on every plan. It does not hold for sub-accounts at the price quoted in the same list.
"Flat-rate pricing" needs the same qualification. The pricing page footnotes usage-based charges against Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI, email, SMS and inbound and outbound calling, and its FAQ says plainly that usage-based costs apply to telecommunications and AI services. Flat on seats and contacts, metered on everything that sends. Read both vendors' pricing pages rather than either vendor's comparison page. That advice cuts against our own commission and it is still the right advice.
The $2.75 question: resale versus branding removal
For an agency the decision usually reduces to one question. Can I put my name on it and charge for it? The two answers land almost exactly on the same monthly number.
- GoHighLevel Agency Pro, $497 per month ($4,970 a year). Adds SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling phone and email with your own markup, user and agent reporting, and advanced API access.
- ClickFunnels Dominate, $5,997 per year, annual only, which is $499.75 per month. The only tier where Branding Removal appears in the feature table, alongside SSO, a dedicated sending IP, certification training, an account manager and 20 workspaces.
The gap is $2.75 a month, and only one of the two lets you sell the software. Dominate removes ClickFunnels branding from what you deliver. It does not turn your account into a product you can resell with your own pricing and billing. SaaS Mode does exactly that, which is why agencies chasing recurring software revenue rather than retainer revenue end up there. We covered the mechanics in GoHighLevel SaaS Mode.
Worth knowing on the other side: white-labelling GoHighLevel's mobile app is a separate $497 per month add-on, the same price again as the entire Agency Pro plan. The web app white-label is included.
Where the bill actually grows on each platform
Both platforms have a second bill the plan price does not cover, and they are opposites.
GoHighLevel grows per sub-account. Nearly every optional add-on on its pricing page is priced per sub-account: AI Employee at $50 or $97 a month, the branded client portal app at $49, online listings management at $30, the premium prospecting tool at $29, SEO powered by Search Atlas at $79, WhatsApp at $10. Account-level extras include dedicated email IPs at $59 per IP, HIPAA compliance at $297 a month and premium support at $500 a month. The unlimited sub-accounts you are paying $297 for are the exact axis along which every add-on multiplies. Ten clients on the $50 AI Employee add-on is $500 a month on top of the platform.
ClickFunnels grows per contact and per email. Your plan is a list-size bracket. Cross 10,000 contacts on Launch, or 75,000 on Scale, and the next tier is the answer, because the tier is the meter. Emails are capped monthly at 50,000, 300,000, 750,000 and 1.2 million. Visitors and funnels are genuinely unlimited, so traffic never costs you anything, which is a real and underrated advantage if you push cold paid traffic through long funnels.
One caveat there: the "Unlimited Funnels" headline carries the words Limited Time beside it on all four tiers, on both the pricing page and the help centre article. That is the vendor labelling its own flagship allowance as promotional, so do not assume it is a permanent plan term.
Two contradictions worth checking before you pay
ClickFunnels documents its prices in two places and the two do not fully agree. Both were read on 1 September 2026.
- The top tier price. The live pricing page says Dominate is $5,997 per year, in the plan card and again in the comparison table. The help centre pricing article, last updated 18 March 2026, says $5,970 annually. A $27 difference. Note which fits the vendor's own formula: every other annual price is exactly ten monthly payments, and $5,970 is ten times $597 while $5,997 is ten times nothing. We are not asserting which figure is correct. The checkout page is the one that binds, so read the number where you enter a card.
- Appointments on the entry plan. The help centre article lists Appointments among the Launch plan features. The pricing page's own comparison table shows Appointments as not included on Launch, and gives Launch zero calendars. Appointment booking is one of the most common reasons an agency buys a platform at all, so verify it in a trial before building a client offer on it.
In ClickFunnels' favour, one thing the help centre says that the pricing page does not: the 14 day trial plus the 30 day money-back guarantee gives you 44 days risk free. Also note that the legacy Basic, Pro and Funnel Hacker plans are grandfathered, and once you upgrade or downgrade off one you can never return to it.
Which one you should buy
Buy ClickFunnels if you are one brand selling your own offers, your revenue comes from funnels, checkouts, courses and communities, you send a lot of email to a list you own, and you drive heavy paid traffic. Unlimited visitors with included email volume at $97 is a strong deal, and the 44 day risk-free window beats the norm.
Buy GoHighLevel if you serve more than one client, more than two people need logins, or you want to resell software rather than hours. Unlimited contacts and users at every price point, unlimited sub-accounts from $297, and SaaS Mode at $497 are things ClickFunnels does not offer at any published price. Budget separately for usage and per sub-account add-ons.
Do not choose on the sticker price. At $97 and at $297 the stickers are identical. The decision is entirely about which meter runs faster in your business: the clients you serve, or the contacts you hold. For the wider field see our GoHighLevel alternatives roundup, and if you would rather not build it yourself, we build and hand over GoHighLevel setups ready to sell.
One last disclosure: ClickFunnels runs a 30% recurring affiliate programme and we are not in it. Frequently Asked Questions
At the two overlapping tiers they cost exactly the same. GoHighLevel Starter and ClickFunnels Launch are both $97 a month or $970 a year. GoHighLevel Unlimited and ClickFunnels Optimize are both $297 a month or $2,970 a year. GoHighLevel becomes cheaper for agencies because unlimited sub-accounts arrive at $297, while ClickFunnels caps workspaces at 10 on Optimize and 20 on Dominate at $5,997 a year. ClickFunnels can be cheaper for a single brand with a large list, because its plan price includes email volume that GoHighLevel bills as usage.
Yes, since January 2026. ClickFunnels has an Agency App that creates dedicated client workspaces, sends invitations and manages permissions, with a limit of up to 50 client workspaces. The catch is that its help centre lists the requirement as an Agency Plan subscription, and no Agency Plan appears on the ClickFunnels pricing page or partners page. GoHighLevel publishes its equivalent openly: 3 sub-accounts at $97 and unlimited sub-accounts at $297.
Only partly. Branding Removal appears in the ClickFunnels feature table on the Dominate plan alone, at $5,997 a year, which is $499.75 a month. That removes ClickFunnels branding but does not give you a resellable software product with your own pricing and billing. GoHighLevel's SaaS Mode on the $497 Agency Pro plan does, including automated sub-account creation and rebilling phone and email with your own markup.
GoHighLevel gives unlimited contacts and unlimited users on every plan, including the $97 Starter. ClickFunnels brackets both: 10,000 contacts and 2 team members on Launch, 75,000 and 5 on Scale, 150,000 and 10 on Optimize, 400,000 and 20 on Dominate. If your list is your main asset, ClickFunnels charges you as it grows. If your team or client roster is your main asset, GoHighLevel does not.
The pricing page and the help centre both print Unlimited Funnels on all four tiers with the words Limited Time attached. Visitors, landing pages and site pages are listed as unlimited without that qualifier. So unlimited funnels is currently true and is labelled by ClickFunnels itself as a promotional state rather than a permanent plan term. Check the pricing page on the day you buy.
GoHighLevel, for most agencies, and pricing transparency is as much of the reason as features. You can price a GoHighLevel agency stack to the dollar today: $297 for unlimited client sub-accounts, $497 if you want to resell it as your own software. ClickFunnels now has a real client workspace product, but its required Agency Plan has no published price, so you cannot model margins without a sales conversation. Agencies selling funnels and checkouts to one brand at a time are the exception and are often better served by ClickFunnels.
