Short answer. Email deliverability help is sold at three price levels, and only two of them are published. Tools are the cheapest and most transparent: MailReach lists $25 per mailbox a month for warmup plus spam testing, GlockApps lists $59, $99 or $129 a month billed annually for spam tests and DMARC monitoring ($708, $1,188 or $1,548 a year), and the sending platforms bundle warmup into plans from $47 (Instantly Growth, monthly) and $49 per seat (Apollo Basic, annual). Our own retainer prices are published: $2,497 a month on the Expert plan and from $4,497 a month for the Team plan, covering infrastructure, deliverability, copywriting and campaigns. Independent consultant rates are the level we could not verify from a public page on 2 November 2026: GlockApps' own consulting page offers a meeting with a deliverability consultant, in partnership with MailSoar, and publishes no price. This guide sets out what each level costs, what it includes, and how to decide which one your sending problem needs.

Three levels of help, two with price tags
Deliverability work splits into diagnosis (where are we landing and why), infrastructure (domains, authentication, mailboxes, warmup) and operations (list hygiene, sending patterns, monitoring over time). Tools cover diagnosis and monitoring and automate warmup. A consultant adds judgement on the infrastructure and sending pattern, usually for a defined engagement. A retainer covers all three continuously and typically owns the sending itself. The published prices below map to those levels.

Level one: tools, free to $129 a month, or $25 per mailbox
MailReach prices its all-in-one email warmer and spam tester at "$25 / MAILBOX PER MONTH" on a selector that runs from 1 to 100 or more mailboxes, with a monthly or annual toggle labelled "SAVE 20%". At the one-mailbox setting the page lists fully automated warmup for that mailbox, 20 spam test credits, a warming algorithm the page calls smart, support for Google, Outlook and other providers, up to 100 warmup emails a day, a reputation dashboard and domain and inbox health checks (blacklists, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Spam tester credits are sold separately from 20 to 10,000 and up; agency pricing is custom. A banner on the day offered 20 percent off the first 30 days. Move the selector to your own mailbox count to read the price for it; we recorded the one-mailbox figure.
GlockApps, in its bundle view, has a Free plan with 2 spam test credits, 10,000 DMARC messages and 5 uptime monitors; Essential at $59 a month billed annually ($708 paid annually) with 360 spam test credits, 600,000 DMARC messages and overage at $7.5 per 100,000 messages; Growth at $99 a month billed annually ($1,188) with 1,080 credits, 1,200,000 DMARC messages and overage at $5 per 100,000; and Enterprise at $129 a month billed annually ($1,548) with 1,800 credits, 12,000,000 DMARC messages and overage at $2 per 100,000. The annual toggle is labelled "Save 30%" and all plans allow unlimited DMARC domains. The GlockApps plan features we recorded are spam tests, DMARC monitoring and uptime monitors.
The sending platforms fold warmup into their plans. Instantly's Growth plan at $47 a month includes unlimited email warmup across unlimited accounts; Apollo's Basic plan at $49 per seat a month lists a "Deliverability Suite & Email Warmup" and "Domain & Mailbox Purchasing." Smartlead sells the mailboxes themselves alongside its plans: Google or Outlook mailboxes through Zapmail at $13 per domain a year and $4.5 per mailbox a month, pre-warmed Outlook or Google at $18 per domain a year and $9 per mailbox a month, and SMTP through Mailreef at $19 per domain a year and $3.99 per mailbox a month. Those are Smartlead's add-on prices for the infrastructure a consultant is likely to recommend; the hosting options behind them are compared in email hosting cost.
Level two: consultants, the unpublished price
We set out to find a published hourly or project rate for an independent email deliverability consultant and did not find one we could cite. GlockApps' consulting page invites you to "Book a meeting with a GlockApps Deliverability Consultant," in partnership with MailSoar, and states no price. The marketplace listing we tried to read returned a 404. That absence is itself useful information: with no published rate to compare, ask for a written quote and scope, and compare it against the two published levels. If a consultant quotes more than a year of tooling plus a quarter of a managed retainer for a one-off audit, the quote should come with a scope that explains why.
What a consulting engagement should include, whatever the price: an inbox placement baseline across the providers you send to; a check of SPF, DKIM and DMARC alignment and the DMARC policy; a review of sending domains, their age and reputation, and the mailboxes behind them; a warmup plan with daily volumes; list hygiene rules; and a monitoring set-up you keep after the engagement ends. If the proposal is a one-time fix with no monitoring left behind, the problem returns with the next list.
Level three: our managed retainer, from $2,497 a month
A retainer owns the sending. Our pricing page lists the cold email programme that includes infrastructure, deliverability, copywriting and campaigns at $2,497 a month on the Expert plan, with the Team plan from $4,497 a month and full sending infrastructure included; the service itself is described on our email infrastructure page. Over a year that is $29,964, or from $53,964, against $708 to $1,548 for GlockApps. The difference buys the people who run the infrastructure, deliverability, copywriting and campaigns. A retainer is the right level when sending is a revenue channel someone has to own every week, and the wrong one when the problem is a single misconfigured domain that a tool and an afternoon would fix.
What moves the price at each level
At the tool level the driver is count: mailboxes at MailReach, spam test credits and DMARC message volume at GlockApps, seats at Apollo, monthly sends at Instantly. A sender who exceeds Growth's 1,200,000 DMARC messages on GlockApps pays $5 per extra 100,000, and MailReach's selector sets the price by mailbox count. At the consultant level the driver is scope and urgency: how many domains and providers are in play, whether the engagement is a one-off audit or a recovery that runs over weeks, and whether the consultant is expected to make the changes or hand you a document. At the retainer level the driver is volume and ownership: how many domains and mailboxes the vendor runs, how many campaigns it writes and sends, and whether it is accountable for replies or only for placement. Ask for the unit each price scales on before comparing totals, because a $59 tool and a $2,497 retainer are answering different questions.

Which level your problem needs
- You do not know where you land. Start with a spam tester. GlockApps Free gives 2 credits; Essential at $59 a month billed annually includes 360.
- New domains or mailboxes. Warmup is the job, and it is included in Instantly from $47 and Apollo from $49 per seat, or bought per mailbox at MailReach for $25. Pre-warmed mailboxes from Smartlead's add-on list cost $9 a month each.
- Authentication or reputation is broken and you cannot see why. This is the consultant's case: a scoped audit against a written deliverable list, with monitoring left behind.
- Outbound email is a revenue channel you need run. A retainer; ours is $2,497 a month on Expert and from $4,497 on Team, covering infrastructure, deliverability, copywriting and campaigns.
Two vendor claims on the pages we read are worth flagging as claims rather than measurements: MailReach says "Our customers score 67% average open rates" and cites "3000+ businesses," and we repeat neither as a fact about your sending. All prices are from the vendors' public pages and our own, as read on 2 November 2026.
