Your product page is the most important page of your store. It’s the page that you and your business are judged by, and it’s the main reason why customers decide to buy from you or not. In fact, some studies have shown that 85% of buyers choose a product based on its product page, and if you don’t have the right product page, then you can be sure that no one will buy your products! But what exactly makes up an optimized product page? And how do you create such a page?
This article teaches the importance and the steps of the highly converting product page. If you want to increase your conversion rate, then this article is for you!
1. Be Creative With Your Product Titles
Many dropshippers repeat a mistake that they have made on aliexpress, which involves using the same title as found on their site. You don’t need to even care how cool and special the product you imported from Aliexpress is if your titles are boring and too long. Your chances of getting sales drastically decrease.
In the world of business, your first impression counts the most and often decides whether you can get the job or close a client. When customers visit your website, the first thing they see are your product images and your product titles. As long as the aliexpress product titles are straightforward and logically stated, the first impression you make will be more appealing.
Our titles must leave a good impression! One of the tips I always give beginners is to pretend you are creating a one-product store for that particular product you intend to sell. Rather than a regular title name, give it a cool name to “brand” it.
I’d like to show you this oversized hoodie found on aliexpress – A really cool product you may remember from ad campaigns between 1*3 years ago. First things first, don’t use the same aliexpress title as before! Therefore, if you’re in a hurry you can use something like “Oversized Winter Hoodie” as your title and you’ll be OK and the first impression you’ll leave is ok, not remarkable.
But if we use names like Lazy Blanket Oversized Winter Hoodie, LazyCat Oversized Winter Hoodie, Warmy Oversized Winter Hoodie, or Cozy Oversized Winter Hoodie for our titles, then the first impression we give off is now much better. The message to our potential customers will now be clear, and they will naturally think of our hoodie as a premium item. The advantage to doing this is that people will automatically think of the product as more high-quality.
As long as you’re already “branding” your product, you can edit your product pictures and apply the logo you just created to each one to boost credibility 😉
2. Edit Your Product Photos
You should pay attention to the media you import from Aliexpress and edit it if necessary.
Keep it consistent – Make sure that all your photos have the same background color and photo size. This makes your product page look more professional and your photos won’t be cropped and jumbled when viewed side by side.
Keep it light – It is recommended that you use JPEG files over PNG files and if necessary, you can use free image compression services online. You can also compress all the photos on your store with a Shopify app.
Import a few customer photos – In addition, it’s a good idea to show a few customer-taken photos to gain more trust and to show your customers that their orders are being delivered. Social proof is always good for conversions!
3. Make Your Product Description Look Professional
Now that the potential customer has seen your title, browsed some of your product photos, he is about to scroll down and read the description. In my opinion, this is the “money point” – From your product’s features to your store guarantees, everything needs to be just right for the client to add this product to his cart and finish the purchase process.
If you take these steps, your product page will be set up properly.
Start with an opener – As long as you provide a little more detail about your product and what it does, it should be just fine. Remember to consider your opening. Make it catchy and catchy. If there’s a holiday coming up like Christmas, let people know your product can be a great gift for a loved one.
Add photos, gifs, videos to your description – Having a fantastic video is great for advertising, but we should also include other media as well, such as photos of the product to explain its features. The best thing to do will be to make a few gifs out of the video or just by combining a few photos. If you don’t know how to make gifs, you can use totally free online services like giphy.com. It doesn’t take much time to create some cool gifs you can then place in your description with these online tools.
Product features – List features of your product in bullets, and the problems it will solve. Make it clear it’s safe. You will want to write a one or two sentence blurb for each feature.
Product specifications – You will include details like size, weight, plug type, batteries, available colors, etc. If you fail to include an important detail, you can be sure the customer reading it will leave your shop. Users may look elsewhere on your page to find your product, and when they can’t locate it, they will leave your store. Please take the time to include every detail.
Guarantees & Shipping – End with your guarantees (30 days return, refund, etc). A few sentences will be sufficient. Then, you may want to explain what your shipping process is like, like tracking (best if your store has in-built tracking).
4. Ends With Reviews
Now that the customer has read your description and seen how great your product is, he would really like to read some reviews before he buys. As you may know from reading my articles here or by reading other articles, reviews are SUPER important and, in my opinion, a must-have.
To do this, we will need to install a review app from shopify so that we can import the reviews from aliexpress. Actually, not much to add here that you couldn’t read in the article I mentioned. Most customers either stop by or they decide to buy my product.
Our focus should at least be on one or two things: products, targeting, ad copy, ad creative, testing, and scaling. This takes a lot of our time and energy, so we must make one or two things perfect, like our product page. You now know how to create a high-converting product page so that at the very least, you never have to worry about your page being “bad” or Loosing sales.
You’ll notice that in the beginning your product pages won’t be too amazing, but once you go a few rounds, you’ll be creating those amazing product pages, quickly!
